ACTION ALERT from A Viet Place Collective

In response to our efforts, this Saturday, 3/18, the City of Falls Church is hosting the first of 4 pop-ups at Eden Center to engage business owners + customers about their “East End” Small Area Plan.

The City’s planning team will be tabling near the fountain at Eden with a Viet interpreter and bilingual materials.

Share this post, spread the word, bring family and friends for lunch, then stop by the City’s table to tell them what you cherish about Eden, your concerns about displacement, and your vision for the future of this area.

We’ve been speaking w/ business owners, community members, and anti-displacement experts for months now and believe our listed demands captures what needs to change in the City’s “Small Area Plan” to ensure this corner of Falls Church stays true to the Vietnamese community that built it. Help amplify one or more of our demands when you speak w/ the planners.

If you can’t make it to Saturday’s pop-up (3/18), mark your calendars for the two others in March (3/22, 3/29). The City plans to gather all opinions, modify their plan, and present it back to the community at their last pop-up in April (4/22). Let’s show them how we show up!
